  1. In the kitchen today i felt, some days I’m a pescatarian, most days I’m a carnivore, rarely I’m a vegetarian and that would last for only a couple of hours…

  2. Something wrong with vegan supplements???

  3. The Word of GOD says we are not to eat blood
Or things strangled, and ldolitry and fornication we are to keep ourselves from all these things to remain a healthy person in God's sight, all these sinful things will kill your Soul*¤*!

I am glad I am not the only one that is having problems figuring out what is good for my personal health. Uhm gross on raw meat I am not sure but I believe it's okay if it is a little pink inside. Good luck in your journey in finding out what works for you.

  5. I CAN NOT understand why anybody can think this meat ist healthy!!!! You can´t buy nearly anywhere healthy meat anymore, but sure not processed and especially NOT fish!!! It´s one of the most poisened and toxic Food nowadays thanks to us humans! I have some Farmers here with Special cows who live their whole life out on grass. And some very small farmers with a countable number of chickens. If I ever, ever would start again to eat meat, I would just buy there and eat it in a normal amount – means NOT three times a day (sausages for breakfast with strawberry shake – why? Just because any paleo guy said so?) Fish is only eatable when ist biological aquacultured. So sorry, I can´t see where you going or why. Maybe cutting out some other parts of your journey would have helped too like cutting out drinking coffee and reduce the amount of fruits (especially the tropic ones) and eat more healthy fats/oils. By the way it´s not paleo to eat those clultured things. Find wild herbst outside, all of them are way more healthy than your strawberries or cucumbers. That´s paleo. And rethink the amount and origin of your meat. No big deal in switching, but in a healty way please.

You're doing so well, considering everything. Keep positive and let your journey be your own – stay happy, healthy and keep making others feel the same. Ants 🙂

  7. Good luck on your journey. Your gut will heal. Try to incorporate some fasting. Check Snake diet out. Mix it up with AIP GAPS or carnivore, find what works best for you and you will heal 100%. Good luck.

Hi Savanna. Thanks for your bravery, it's not easy to do this, and I have seen how much you energy you have always given to finding ways to health, I really hope you're feeling better and that you know it's OK to put your wellbeing first. It doesn't always mean disregarding other beings, there are so many ways to be conscientious and well-informed about where our food comes from.
I'm transitioning from plantbased too (6 years) because my gut health is just all over the place. Autoimmune issues are starting to appear. I turned to veganism for animals, for the environment. It has been so painful to come to terms with possibly needing to consume animal products, after everything. I never ever thought I could do it, but I have exhausted every possible avenue. Literally at my wits end, I have been barely able to function. Plant based eating REALLY improved symptoms i had been having, after a severe stomach infection etc… But so many more health issues have appeared. I've slowly come to terms with the reality that maybe now I need to look to the environment for more support than a plant-based diet can provide, right now, and as much as I don't like it, it seems to be calling for animal contribution. 🙁 It's been such a massive paradigm shift, to deconstruct and let go of ideologies i didnt even know i was so attached to, so that I could actually listen to my body, and accept that it was not doing OK.
But, prior to all of that, quality of the food we are eating is no.1. I am only really awakening to the brevity of this, organic is paramount, this interview with Dr Zach Bush is really insightful, he talks about how gut permeability manifests, and connects our physiological terrain with the earth's. They are one and the same 🙂 It's really basic when you actually hear it broken down like this, we've just become so disconnected from nature, and have forgotten how to live as part of this eco system. Returning to our roots, and eating natural, real food as medicine, seems to be the way. Whatever the food types are. Leafy greens are good for calcium, it seems to be important to ensure they're cooked.
WIshing you wellness and sending you lots of love. XXX

I am in for bone in sardines and also bone broth cooked for 24h or more. The bones release the minerals into the broth.

  10. Oh my Lord, can’t believe u drank that liver shot.. hun why not just cook it?? sauté some onion with oil add the liver then add some salt and pepper, it’s delicious..

  11. Sandy Allen says:

This is such a dramatic change in diet! You may wish to check out Dr Michael Gregor at http://www.nutritionfacts.org. He has a few books out that you may also find of interest with regard to nutrition and disease. Wishing you the best always🙏🏻

  12. Neo DeOne says:

Your senses, both Smell and Taste are telling you to STOP, yet you keep denying your own natural instincts. Always listen to your body.

  13. Girl…. you seriously go from one extreme to another😷

  14. I’m extremely lactose intolerant (and dairy industry “intolerant”). So I adore the brand of Almondmilk called AlmondBreeze. Their milks are phenomenal tasting and, nutrition-wise. I also like how they are presented when it comes to options (flavors, sugar content and calorie variations) in one’s diet. They fortify all of their milks with calcium, vitamins, and minerals. Plus, they have a higher nutrition content than dairy (w/ none of the “unwanted extras”) So 2 cups a day or so, supplies all the calcium one needs, daily. If you feel deficient, you can add a supplement on top and be super covered. But it’s a great way to get it without too much fuss, and with plenty of yum! Thanks for this Savvy. Your menu looked very inviting. I am trying to cut back on sugar myself. I have a Kashi cereal bar “problem” atm..lol

  15. Le Lo says:

the glow up! you def look healthier and younger than you did on that crap vegan diet.

  16. I would recommend a supplement called algaecal and strontium. It’s a fantastic supplement. It comes from algae instead of limestone. It’s what i take. I’m not sponsored or anything .

  17. Willa says:

thanks for this Savy! one of my favorite additions to my diet when i began eating meat again was a large cut of beef (chuck, brisket). i braise that once a week. it lasts multiple meals and is super versatile because you can have it with tacos, pasta, with veg or salad, or even in an asian style by reheating with some coconut aminos.

  18. PurpleNovels says:

please explain: Why the dislikes? And actually reply with an educated answer.

  19. It's the cutie!! ♥️Thank you hun.

  20. Knight Chime says:

Looking forward to any further updates from you.
I've heard that a lot of people with digestive issues become vegans, but I've also noticed a lot of vegetarians & vegans are young girls who appear to be obsessed with dieting for weightless purposes, using their vegetarianism or veganism in order to mask their eating disorders. Is this something you've seen too?

  21. I'm vegetarian and I REALLY want to start eating meat for health benefits (I would like to eat hunted meat, easily accessible where I like like elk & deer) but I'm having a really hard time. I can't get to the point of putting it in my mouth.. I've been vegetarian for around 10 years and even the thought of putting a piece if meat in Plymouth gives me severe anxiety and isn't appealing to me at ALL. Any tips on how I can overcome this mental issue and start treating my body better?

  22. I like to see you on a video of benefits of beef liver

  23. Sardines have a load of calcium. Eat with the bones. Scrumptious!

  24. Rose Viola says:

You could check out the calcium in kelp and other seaweeds. I believe kelp has quite a lot. I have a question mark over the galactose in some seaweeds, though. Dr Neal Barnard cited a paper that found dairy to be a cause of declining fertility in women as the years pass because lactose turns into galactose in the body, which is toxic to the ovaries. Some seaweeds, especially the red and brown varieties, contain galactose too. He didn't respond when I asked him about it, though. So it might be a good idea to do some research into it before making seaweed a regular part of your diet but it might be an option for calcium. Certainly Clearspring, which sells seaweed in my part of the world, does not recommend it every day due to potential toxicity from the oceans (heavy metals and so on), even though seaweed is also purported to help remove heavy metals from the body! Some varieties are highly contaminated by arsenic (I think hijiki is particularly bad) but it might be worth looking into seaweeds/sea vegetables in general from all those perspectives, as you might find something helpful that is harmless, too. I'd agree with Dr John McDougall that calcium is only one mineral among many and it has been overly promoted. Calcium supplements are usually a bad idea. They tend to come in a form that is ill-absorbed by the body, or not really at all. The body needs co-factors like magnesium, vitamin D and vitamin K2 to draw it into the bones and calcium from supplements can build up in parts of the body where you absolutely do not want it, like the arteries. Best to think of the whole orchestra of minerals, not just one instrument, and to get it from food as nature intended.

    lol !!!
I was thinking what you would have said 5 years ago if I told you you would be eating RAW liver!!! LOL!
Anyways , take some brussel sprouts cut in halves and onion sliced and saute' to caramelize just a tad in irish butter,
When they're the way you like them throw a little more butter down and lay a partially frozen slice of the calf liver down and set the lid on till it starts to cook the top of the liver (couple min). then turn and cook a couple minuets longer . don't cook the liver to death.
and don't caramelize the veggies to much at all but they need a head start to soften up. (at least 5-10 min)
My dad used to punish us and make us eat liver. it was horrible, lol but now I love it.
But don't thaw it out completely it's slimy to mess with but if you stick the packaged slice ina a bowl of cold water for about 5 min it should be just about right. use scissors to open the partially thawed liver package. Don't thaw it out to much and cook on medium low. you don't want fry it. Soooo good! LOL, RAW LIVER! You crack me up! LOL!

  26. Tori Flot says:

and this is why plant based eaters need to stop identifying as vegan. you definitely used the label incorrectly because if you were actually vegan you wouldn't be speaking about dead animal's body parts the way you are in this video. "the liver in our own body stores a lot of nutrients and so to consume that from an animal, from a cow, you are also getting A LOT of nutrition from that." i'm sorry, but the cognitive dissonance and entitlement here is astounding. veganism is not a diet, its an ethical lifestyle that seeks to avoid the exploitation of animals as far as is possible and practicable. being vegan requires an anti-speciesist shift in mindset and morality. you can't just stop viewing animals as food and commodities one day and then pick it right back up again the next. that's not how it works. so yeah, you were plant-based.

  31. Thank you, very much appreciated, back in the 1970's I found a recipe to put the raw liver in a blender and the grizzly parts end up around the blades, I would cook the puree under a broiler in a pie pan.

  32. You have gut issues and determine you should eat the flesh of beings who bioaccumulate the most environmental poisons that destroy the gut. Yep makes sense 👍
